From Billie’s guitar tech on Instagram and a Marshall post from a couple months back. Curious if they’ll go with the HW Plexi price range or produce these in Vietnam to sell more of ‘em.

I guess a signature Marshall makes more sense than a signature guitar. You only gotta flip a switch to play through a Marshall. A guitar you have to actually know how to play.

I think John Suhr had 2 main Marshall mods. The SE crunch mod and SE lead mod. Both mods were developed by John but Martin Golub performed them on his own after he left working for suhr and Bradshaw. The se crunch is similar to channel 2 of the 3+se. The od lead is similar to channel 3 of the 3+se. That was, from what I was told, the mod that reb beach and Aldrich were using. It has one more gain stage than the se crunch

The se lead mod was turned into the CAA se plus amp and later into the suhr od se. I do not believe he ever adapted the se crunch mod into its own amp. I emailed John about doing the mod for me earlier in the year and he indicated the mod has evolved over time and he believes it is better.

Edit: I may be wrong but I also believe Billy Joe runs one of each head and even a blend of an amp with each mod as well.
 
Interesting, I've looked at that first picture on instagram and other discussions about it but didn't know they had soft-confirmed it was actually coming. I thought it was still speculation. I'll be grabbing one if they do make it to production, was going to go the Ceriatone route otherwise.
