Will NOS 6v6 tubes work in a Marshall DSL15 head?

I picked up one of the new Marshall DSL15 heads a few weeks ago and was thinking about trying some RCA 6v6 in it. I seem to recall reading something about old stock tubes not being able to handle the voltage and/or current of modern amps. Can anyone give me some insight into this before I burn up a pair of tubes?

The concern is the plate voltage. You can start by checking the plat voltage of the current tubes and see about what they are at, then report back. If I remember correctly its pin 3 to pin 8. Do you have a set of bias probes (some will measure plate voltage for you)?

Thanks. So how much plate voltage can the old RCA 6v6's handle reliably?

That's a great question, I would ask Mike at KCA nos tubes, or doug at dougs tubes, or Valve Queen (laura) who posts here.
