Will sloped-base KT66s fit in the Renegade??

The Rene manual says that it can take KT66. However, there are some KT66 that have a sloped base and these say that it may be hard to get them to stay in "bear claw retainers". I'm not sure exactly what "bear claw" retainers are, but based on the visual reference, and what my Rene looks like, I assume it has "bear claws", so I am guessing that these particular KT66s will not fit, and that I need to find ones that have a non-sloped base?

You could always remove the retainers.....or even replace 'em with the spring type that go over teh top of the tube...

Just bend the bear claws down a bit,,,,they'll be fine...
