Wizard hell razor… another full demo on YouTube

Sup dudes?!

I was requested by a few to redo this one (as on the last I used DIs and the tc mimiq pedal as a test to see if it suffices as a true double track… 5050 is my answer lol). Anyway, here’s this, so you guys can hear the pure tone and a little bit of knob turning, and explanation.

Ultimately this is THE wizard high gain offering. Is it my favorite? No… I like the MTL boosted better purely because of the sweep knob. To me it helps you let the amp sound as big as possible without that signature wizard/hiwatt/vht ish mid range. If Rick built a hell razor with a sweep it might be the grail, hell or even an onboard eq like the vht pitbull or of course the mark series.

Now tell us more about this sweep thing on MTL, and compare MCII, Hellrazor and MTL 1/2. I am so curious about all these.

Basically the MTL has a sweep knob and it changes the mid range. To me it’s the key for getting rid of the 300hz thing that bugs my ears personally.
 
Sounds like Rick should just add a sweep knob and that would do it. The MC & MTL I had didn’t have sweep knobs, so for me the Hell Razor killed them in every way other than maybe mellower rock tones. I don’t like the Hiwatt neutral/hollow type midrange either, but all the Wizard’s I had were like that
 
I like the idea of a HR having a Sweep control. And wouldn't it make sense for the amp to receive a contour control as well?
Who can talk Rick into this? I feel the amp has such a steep price, it deserves to have all options.

Careful what you wish for...those features get added, the HR price might jump to $10,295.00. Think of the group man, you're want for extra features is potentially gonna affect us all...LOL!

Much preferred your boosted MC video. It's midrange prominence dominates the HR here, at least as the recorded examples go.
