Hi ,

First post, and first question...
(sorry for poor english)

I 'm looking for my new amp, and i finally have two on my short list (Wizard MCII and BE 100). But impossible to test by myself and compare these two head.

I saw that some of you , own or owned these 2 beast. So, I m very curious for your feedback on each of them. Is there main difference? comments or advices ?

I know these are 2 greats amps but i have to make a choice, so any help welcome

I highly recommend you post this same question in the main Rig-Talk forum. This section of the site seems to get little traffic......

I have the version I modern classic, I also had the be100, as well as the hairy browneye/browneye mod as soon as it came out years ago. I kept the wizard and sold all the friedman stuff. The wizard is a bigger sound, nasty, and powerful. I thought the friedman stuff sounded smaller and more compressed. It was not what I was looking for. I also liked the cleans better on the wizard. thats my story...

Thx a lot,.

I ve posted on the main section.

@Lespaul6. To your opinion is the wizard better for classic rock tone too ?

The brown eye mode alone or with the C45 is a good classic to hard rock sound on the BE100. However, its hard to beat the ACDC kerrang you get from a wizard m/c in my opinion.

+1. my thoughts exactly!

I have a 50 watt version of a MCII and a Metro 50 watt that I sent to Dave and had a Kitchen sink installed they both sound really good but are very much different amps your playing style may favor one over the other

I agree. This is not an apples to oranges comparison. I owned a Kitchen Sink and a bunch of Camerons and none are really similar to the Wizard. I owned an MC100 and an MCII50 and 100 watter.
