I'm seriously considering picking up this amp and I'm torn between what wattage to get. The gigs that I'm slayer typically smaller gigs with about 300 people or less and we always have a PA. Aside from clean headroom is there any sonic difference? Either way I imagine I'll use an attenuator. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are.

I have the MC2 100watt and live it. The thump from the 100watter is more noticeable than the 50 from what I've read. And this thing has thump and moves air like a bitch. I play the same size venues as you for the most part and the amp works great. No attentuator either. Put master on about 9:30 o'clock and all is right. For the few extra buck, I'd do the 100 man. Clean volume will hang with any drummers style. Best amp I've ever played period.

Go with the 100. The master on the MCII is not equal to the master's of the other Wizards I owned. You'll be able to control it. You can also use the loop controls to knock the volume down and still have the tone if you are not using it for effects. The 50 is a little bit sweeter but obviously doesn't have the girth of the 100. It's still killer. I could be happy with either but if I needed to choose I would choose the 100. I had a brand new 50 and 100 next to each other.

Thanks. Looks like I'm going to have to go with 100W. I sure hope this amp isn't just a Jubilee clone LOL!

Two different worlds man.. A wizard will destroy everything marshall ever did.

Just got off the phone. 100W on order. Pumped! Too bad my 4X12 won't be ready until November. At least I have a 100W 2X12 until then.

Are you talkin' a Wizard 4X12? If yes, I need one too!
