Hi,

I tried WOS III in my MacBook Pro where I'm using Presonus Studio One 2.6 Professional.
When I insert the plugin to a mono guitar track, the WOS plugin loads as "stereo configuration".
That means, the PAN pots are enabled but because the track is mono, only cabinets completely panned to the left will have output.
Panned to the right = no output.
How can I fix this?

Thank you
Matthias

I'm not a Studio One expert...googled your issue and seems to be something that is known...found a video recommending cloning the track....for me that is using a chainsaw as a razor....

again, not a Studio One expert but here's what I'd do,

create a stereo aux return with Torpedo instanciated, output to main L/R
create a pre fader aux send to the this aux
either assign the guitar track to a non existent buss (ie not main L/R) or put the fader at zero (if pre fader sends exist)

If you check out some of the Presonus forums, there may be some other good tips

Hi Andy,

thank you for your help.
I think, that is a no go, way to complicated for everyday usage.
I'm not sure, why this problem exists.
Is it a problem of Studio One, or is it a Problem of WOS?
Why does WOS thinks, is has to use a stereo configuration?

Cheers
Matthias

BTW:
For what have you searched on google?
Is it a general problem with studio one?
I can't find any helpful for Studio One and WOS...

It's not a WOS issue, the problem happens in Studio One with some or all mono to stereo plug-ins

Andy

That is a strange behavior of Studio One, we don't see that in any other sequencer. WoS III is not the only plugin that is impacted by that problem.

There is apparently an easy way to use a mono input on a stereo track, that could solve the issue:

http://billedstrom.wordpress.com/2011/1 ... reo-track/

And if you are OK to use the plugin in VST format, Studio One appears to deal properly with this mono/stereo issue.

I really can't tell you why VST works and not AU, just try Logic and you will see the AU version of WoS works properly with Stereo/mono configurations.

Hi,

i've tried the plugin in Logoc before and it is working as expected.
I'll give the VST version a try in S1 and post back here.

Thanks
Matthias

Hi there,

just for your information:
The VST version is working perfectly in S1 64bit.
PAN buttons are disabled when used on a mono track!

Thank you again for your help!
