We had a sticky that shows people how the serials/years go, so that we don't have a new "what year is my Diezel" every day? :)

It would be easier for the mods

Thats actually a really good idea. Way to go Joey

I'm actually surprised there isn't a serial number lookup database already. If I had the information I could put one together pretty quickly. Of course, there may be a reason we aren't aware of that this hasn't been made available yet, so....

Still, I agree it would be a nice feature!

Peter or Peter just need to send a list - and I wouldn't do a sticky but put it up onto the off. site.

yeah, it'd definitely be a good idea since these kind of topic/questions pop up very often, I'm getting sick of reading them, I cannot imagine how sick of them Peter/Terry/Olaf must be.

Same with the tubes/"revision" topic, just make a statement in the website explaining the changes that have been made and/or clarifying if there are different versions of the amp, etc.....just to make it clear.

Well Joey, this is a support forum. Most other companies don't run forums for their technical support and in my understanding its ok to have (out of 30 threads) up to 50% probs/tubes/ser-nr. and so on threads. At least there I can participate, in many other threads (like: are Hetfields socks blue or brown - or did Billy Corgan try to get some hair back with Procter&Gambles Capillaris Maxiliaris ) I simply refuse to join :D

Yeah I know what you mean Olaf, and I understand it and agree with it. You guys do a GREAT job serving the customers and taking care of us.

But sometimes we see some questions pop up VERY often, and most of these questions have the same generic answer or at least there's a way to pack the answers. :)

Again I don't mind, I just think it would be way easier for you guys

It is not as simple as it would appear to do this and would probably take more time then any of us have. The reality is there have not been many changes, certainly not the number of changes people (assume, think, say) there have been. Also the made date, sold date, etc. can be very different as not every amp goes out in numerical order nor is it sold necessarily in the same order that it goes out. Then we will have the I bought amp X in October of_______ and amp Y was purchased before yours but made after.....etc.etc.

My thought is why is the year so important anyway??? If you like that amp, play it or buy it or keep it or whatever. Knowing it is a certain year shouldn't make a person like it more. Either you like the amp or you don't. I would hope that playing is a bigger passion and priority above and beyond what year.

My $.02 rant for the day :D

Good point Duolos, and spot on. My only thinking about it was for those prospective used market buyers who are seeking more info such as date of manufacture. However, you're absolutely right that some are made much earlier than the date they sell, etc...

Bottom line, they all sound heavenly so just plug in and hang on for the ride!
