Hey guys I'm looking to buy an amp in the "Modded Marshall" camp and have a short list of amps I'm after. I'm trying to stay around or under $1k but for the right amp I can move a bit if needed. My list is just off the top of my head but it needs to have the ability to do pretty high gain, but I'm open to boosting it. This is my short list but throw some offers at me as well. Thanks.

Heads only
-Friedman Runt 20
-Friedman PT-20
-Ceriatone Chupacabra or Yeti 50
-Ceriatone Son of Yeti

Hold out for a Chupa or Yeti. Thank me later.
Seriously!

I have a 50 watt yeti. It is an absolute beast!

Is the Chupa noticeably more aggressive than the Yeti or is it too close to say?

Agreed, these amps get vicious. They do it all from plexi to hot rodded Marshall mayhem. As good or better than ANY modded Marshall type amp out there. Ridiculous amount of toan for the $$$.

I've never had a Chupa, only a Yeti. The Chupa is supposed to be brighter, looser and a bit more aggressive. The Yeti, warmer and tighter. The Yeti still gets extremely aggressive though.

Is the Yeti kind of like a Jose modded Marshall?
I recently heard one and it sounded really good!
He was playing in an 80s cover band that did a lot of van Halen tunes and it really did the van Halen tricks and tones well
