I played one at DCGL in Denver a few years back. I thought it was a pretty cool amp, but I wasn’t gonna pay $4k for it or whatever they wanted. I later heard from someone that that particular amp was one from NAMM and sounded better than the later production models. Don’t know if that is true or not.

If that’s true that’s the one I had. I found it locally here in Virginia Beach. Was sitting on Craigslist for months so I made an offer. Turned out the guy was a Hiwatt artist and he was obsessed with the amp after playing it at NAMM, so they let him have it. It had the Maxwatt badges and labeling but he later changed it to the Hiwatt badge
Oddly I think there may be some revisions or differences in there. Mine is #26 I think, and I think they build 30 on the first run with the rest at a later date. Some interesting weird stuff is mine shows a 330w consumption rating whereas later ones show 220. Does that matter? Idk I'm a fucking idiot with tech stuff but it appears there may be differences in there somewhere.
Buddy of mine said the Super hi blew him away when he played it. He's considering flipping his JJ so he can grab one. He's had the JJ since it came out and loves it, so that says something.
