Lately..Every JMP-1 I've bought are missing the rack ear brackets and I have no idea why people take them off and leave them off?
Anyways..it's a long shot I know but, Anybody have a pair ??

I was looking around for some of these brackets myself after coming across a JMP-1 that was missing them.

The seller had the JMP-1 listed at a reasonable price so I thought it might be worth it if I could find the brackets.

I didn't have any luck finding them.

However, I did remember that I came across some brackets that might work or might be able to get modified to fit the JMP-1.

Here is a link to some possible alternatives:

Universal Rack Mount Ears

You could contact the sellers and ask if they could modify them for you or custom build some for you.

If you find any that end up working for you then I would appreciate a PM letting me know as well so I can purchase them since they are cheap and I might come across a JMP-1 that needs them again :)

I bought a Mesa Quad preamp without rack ears a few years ago, and also had no luck finding replacements. Just prior to paying someone to bend / drill / powder coat some for me, I bought a rack shelf for the preamp. It works well enough that I completely lost interest in having the custom plates made.

Just an idea, if you need to rack it, without ears.

It has rack ears but it's the thin aluminum faceplate is all. They add steel support brackets due to even just the weight of the preamp will bend the faceplate ears. It's not really a big deal as you just mount the preamp on top of something else and go on with your life but, Just kind of frustrating because it's never mentioned in any sales ads that they are missing...lol! When I look for JMP-1's I scour the pics posted to see if the brackets are on the pre or not before going any further..lol!!

I tried ordering some I thought might work but..nope..Like I said in my comment below..The pre can be racked it just needs to be racked on top of something else. Thanks for the heads up though!! :)
