I preferred my Wizards and Fryettes. It's a cool amp, it just didn't stack up to those for my preferences. Sold for $2850. Probably could've gotten more I bet, but I felt that was a fair price to get me back what I paid for it.

I agree. I’ve tried my friend’s Omega Obsidian a few times and it can sound pretty good, but the amps I’ve kept and some of his too were just on another level tonally than the Omega was in AB comparisons. I feel it’s another one of those amps that are “nice”, but nothing truly exceptional, which is all I personally care about in gear these days. Life’s too short for gear that’s just nice

I’ve seen the market going all over the place. I have a custom granophyre and someone offered me 4K for it last week. I just like the amp a lot so I didn’t sell (which I’m sure I’ll be roasted for haha). I know they’re hard to find because the transformer manufacturer isn’t around anymore so they’re trying to source more (maybe that’s been fixed). Until then they can’t build anymore.
