Hey All,

Looking for a Rocktron Intellifex or Intelliverb so I can get that sweet sweet octo-chorus effect. I bought and paid for one off TGP last week and the member took the cash, held the cash 5 days, delayed shipping 3 times, then emailed me he sold it to me too cheap and liked it too much so he was keeping it. (bitch-fest over), so if anyone has one of these units around for a good price give me a shout. Thanks!

I'm a jerk to derail your search...but I had a blackface Intellifex for a dozen years. There is little to be lusting for.

In the day, it was a major step up from a Quadraverb or whatever us broke-ass guitar-players could afford. And at like $800 I had to make payments for it. I think I unloaded mine on this forum 8 years ago for like $3 bills.

Lush chorus, verbs, delay? Buy a Axe Standard.

The converters, digital path, and flexibility...smoke the Rocktron.

Thanks! I'll always take insight from owners. It sounds so stupid but the main reason I am looking for one of these units is the Octopus preset. I really haven't been able to find something that does the multi-voice chorus thing super well at a better price point. If anyone has opinions I am totally open to it. I just bought a Lexicon PCM 81, because I am allergic to money and convenience apparently, just to run the delays and reverb.

I dunno man, I think I use my Intellifex and Replifex more than my Axe-FX II for effects. I love the sound of Rocktron stuff, and I like how simple it is. Just plug it in, turn a few knobs and you are ready to go. The analog dry-thru keeps your tone. Just use the knob on the front as a master volume. The Axe is definitely more advanced and has way more options, but more of a pain to set up also. It is great if you have a permanent rig set up, but I am the type of person that just randomly changes around stuff all the time for the heck of it, and more setup can be annoying. I constantly switch between my Axe II, Replifex, Intellifex, G Major 2, MPX-1, and several pedals just for the fun of it.
