Xotic BB Preamp vs. Xotic BB Plus ?

Anyone compare the original vs. the newer plus model? I'm curious to hear if there's any difference on the overdrive side.

Both sides of the BB+ are overdrives. Channel A (right side) of the + is very similarly voiced to the regular BB, but there is a slight difference. Channel B can reach higher gain levels than channel A and can also pull off a nice cranked plexi sound. It also doubles as a clean boost with the gain rolled off. Both channels have two compression settings as well, and Channel B has it's own 3-band eq.
It's a super versatile pedal compared to the regular BB.

Check out the website, click on the BB+, then on the right side of the screen there is a video comparing the BB to the +.

There's an even newer BB model that has a mid-boost on it.

I have a regular bb hate it but use it for the boosts

I love the regular BB but i saw a LOT of people selling the BB+.
 
I tried to like the BB plus, but finally sold it this week.
I liked the original BB more, but I sold that as well last year.
I couldn't find a sweet spot without it being too dark, too compressed, or too grainy.
 
I love mine for certain applications. It is very compressed, but channel B sounds fantastic as a boost for Boogies. I love it with Mark series and Rectifiers. When it sounds too compressed with some amps, I bust out the Lovepedal Etenity, OCD, TS9 or Zakk drive. The BB is just another flavor.
 
Foe me,the regular BB and BB+ are both too compressed.
 
I have the regular BB and I don't know what you guys are talking about with it being compressed? I don't find it compressed at all... but I run mine as a clean boost with the gain very low, so that might be why. Just sounds like more gain on my gain channel, and a nice Plexi-style overdrive on the clean.
