XTC issue

Lately I've noticed the volume and gain becoming unstable with my 101b. At times the volume decreases and with that decrease comes a loss in gain. When I adjust volume or gain it sounds fuzzy with alot of sag. Tranny/Tube issue? How hard is biasing?

Sounds like a tube to me. I've never tried to bias an amp but I've watched people do it. It doesn't look to hard but I dont like working with electronics.

How long ya had it, how long have the tubes been in there, how often do you play it?

It's easy to sort out - and not too costly. Let us know. Just FYI, powertubes go sooner than preamp glass, but if it's been a while on all sides, best to just re-tune the whole head with new glass.
