Just curious if anyone has A/B'd the Bogner xtc pedals with say Wampler xtc pedals or anyone else who makes a version of it.

I've not tried a Wampler XTC pedal. It's called "Euphoria" now, same circuits according to Wampler.
Maybe they changed the name because of Bogner's Ecstasy pedal?

I do have the Ecstasy Red pedal and the Wampler Triple Wreck.
Both are GREAT sounding pedals.
The Bogner is more versatile tonally as it gives you a good bit more tone shaping options.
It'll do light distortion and crunch all the way to full saturated high gain. The Red high gain is nearly at the same level as the
Triple Wreck. The TW is a monster high gain pedal. Very articulate and defined while still giving loads of saturated tone.

I got both to try and then pick one and return/sell the other.
But after playing with both I decided to keep both cause they do what they do with different tonal quality.
I just bought a new Fender Hot Rod DLX3 and have been using these pedals with that amp, and man what a fantastic sound from that amp with these pedals.

If you're wanting something more versatile than a full on heavy rock and metal pedal you should try the Ecstasy Red.

I was curious about the Wampler "Black '65", Wampler "Plexitortion" and Wampler "SLO" and then it got me thinking about these pedals because I know a lot of people on here have or had xtc amps.

The Triple Wreck is a Mesa tone?

The Triple Wreck is a Mesa tone?

That's the idea, but imo the Triple Wreck's high gain sounds and feels better.
I find the Mesa to be really dark compared to this pedal.
But that's also based on which amp you're using.
The Fender HR DLX is a typical bright Fender so with the TW the over all tone is brighter and I really like it.
Running the TW in my Egnater Vengeance it tends more towards the Mesa, but still brighter with more to my liking upper mids.
I don't do a mid scooped in general.

The Ecstasy Red is amazingly versatile. I've been using the "variac" option and it adds a very nice "feel". The variac has much better response when you're not pushing the gain really high. It's supposed to mimic cranking the power tubes to saturation with that nice sensitive feel but with lower volume.

I've heard and red great things about all those Wampler pedals especially the Slo and Plex.

The Wampler Euphoria (previously Ecstasy) is not based on the Bogner Ecstasy amp in any way from what I understand.

The Bogner Red totally rips FWIW and nails the Ecstasy sound and feel.

Totally unrelated - I played a Wampler Paisley recently and it really impressed me!

I, too use the Bogner Red and the Triple Wreck on my board...into a HRD. They work perfectly for my cover band and I can cover anything between the two. I tend to use the Bogner more often simply because we don't play a ton of super heavy stuff and its got tons of different tone, but its great to click on the Wampler, its pretty amazing what that thing will do to to a little Fender combo.

Yeah I'm liking pedals more than buying amps   I have an 20h xtc and Mesa MkIII so maybe the Wampler black 65, tweed 57, SLO pedal, plexi pedal and Caitlinbread rah to cover anything   my thought would be a pedal looper on the board with the amp-ish pedals run through it to keep my cable short

The need an Orange AD30 amp pedal

Well, he changed it before the Bogner pedals were announced. Pretty sure I remember Brian saying that people were mistakingly thinking his pedal was based on the Bogner Ecstasy when it was not and that was the reason for the name change. It is possible that he caught wind of the Bogner pedals early on though...

I stay mostly on the green and blue ch on my xtc. Not big on the red ch although I do use it
