Y cable on a VH4S....

Would a 'Y" cable work on a VH4S to use on a single mono cabinet?
example....I have a 4X12 that is 8ohms. If I used the channel A/B at the 4ohm inputs would it work?
I know they make "Y cables for stereo systems.....just was wondering if it would work on the VH4s? Is it possible or would it hurt the amp or sound crappy?

Y's are mainly for input signal ala TRS, Shielded etc. I would never half the two 4 Ohm taps down to 2 Ohms or do anything
remotely damaging to either of the two masterpiece OT's.

I have 2 cabs lined up ready to go at the moment.
Getting the amp this weekend and just trying to get everything lined up properly.

Been my Dream amp for the last 6 years......
when I had the $$$....something else always came along.
When I didnt have the cash.......seems like I saw great deals all the time!
Saturday cannot get here fast enough!!

And yes, the VH4S is the bomb - it's game over with that amp... Everything Diezel could be, in stereo. It's like dating twins, only better, in the long run, the VH4S is way cheaper

I was told originally that to hook my VH4S to a mono cab that it would be "safe" to turn down the un-used channel, as then the channel was off, it did not sound right to me but thats what I was told,, is that still OK?? That seems like it would answer the OPs question as well.

My cab is mono at the moment 4X12 and I am going to have it re-wired for STEREO/MONO this week.
I have been playing for a long time.....28 years. Owned alot of high end amps... And this VH4S....is the BEST AMP I HAVE OWNED or played thru HANDS DOWN!
I knew it was going to be a monster.....but I am pleasantly surprised how smooth this amp sounds.
I play mostly metal/and hard rock and most amps are usually good at one....weak at the other.
This amp is EXCELLENT at both and ........well....enough with my rambling.
Everyone here knows how good this amp is.

What a great all around VERSATILE Amp!!
And it KICKS ASS on all channels.....go figure!
