Surf's been off the chain - every day, great swells, and hey, the only days I take off are because I need to rest... I went 11 days straight back a month or so ago. Was totalled by the end of it - so worth it though.

As for this being a vacation - not really a vacation anymore... We're aiming for a move for a few years here. We dig it. Just check out for 3 to 5 years, surf, hang, chillax, learn the language, who knows what else after that. It's all good, er, todo bien

But ya, I gotta figure out how to get one of my amps/cabs down here with a 6 string... Maybe the 20th Sheevs and a OS212, and one of my "less expensive" guitars. Flamenco just ain't cuttin it.

Peace out cats, will check in again sometime soon... :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute:

Nice to hear from you Uncle Mo...glad things are grooving' for you.

I went out of town for a month in July without amps...was really challenging, even with iPad apps and such.
No substitute for some sweet tones.

Enjoy

Ya, not having my gear here really blows. But it's an impossible climate to bring anything of value down. Maybe a cheap ass tube amp and a Lester Studio or something, but once you've played quality gear, well, hard to go back. I've got a few acoustics that have weathered the climate alright, but as I'd said to one of my buds down here, playing Eruption on a gut string classical is like running a pavement marathon in ice skates.

Just doesn't fly.

Surf's been great - heading into the wet season now so it'll be raining and cooler (when I say cooler, it's still fin hot), but we're aiming to be here another year... No sense going back quite yet. We like it here.

I'll check in again soon. I'm just perusing to see what the Helios vibe has been and is all about. Massive anticipation and now I want to know people's thoughts after the 50 and 100 have been out for a while.

Browsing starts.....NOW!!

Later Cats!

...yo Mo,
If you get a container ship to bring your gear down,I'll head up a collection
to get you a humidity controlled display case. ;)

Would need a LOT of display cases

But that's exactly what would be necessary - and then of course - the same for the gears' final destination. Our final destination here is a moving target. I don't think we'll stay for more than 5 years, then again, that's been said by many of our friends who've been here for 10+years now. A container is definite - as we'd wanna bring our shit down here. I've already spoken to a builder about creating a climate controlled space in our current pad... Said no problem, and it'd be second floor, all concrete, windows yes, but reliance on the humidity and temperature controls would be primary (ie: windows remain closed). Built over the garage so no one would give a shit about the pounding, and accessible only through the master bedroom for security reasons.

We're seriously thinking about it. Garage is 28' x 35' so it'd be a helluva space.

Peace Gents!

Nice to hear from you Uncle Mo!!!

If you build it, you would definitely have your own "Man Cave."
Be safe and have fun!
