Guys, seriously, you are all doing a lousy job getting Egnater "out there". :gethim:

I'm I'm saying it, if you search "egnater" you only get a bunch of kids playing the Rebel, and some guys playing Tourmasters and such, there's almost NO videos of the Mod series.

C'mon guys, all you with Modular gear (M4, MOD, etc) make some youtube clips, show us how the different modules sound. Videos using all the modules, so the world can know how great Egnater is.

I can't wait to get my Renegade, I'm gonna flood youtube with videos of it.

One of these days, I'm going to do some real good clips. When... I have no idea... But soon.

I was JUST looking at YouTube and am shocked that the only good M4 vid is bstaley's.

Yesterday I got my Tascam DR-07 in the mail and I had gotten a Kodak Zi6 HD cam about 2 days before. I've been inspired by Mark Day's vids and would only post a vid if it was the same video/audio quality as that. So I bought the stuff. I plan on doing some vids now so people can see and hear, to some degree, what I see and hear in the room.

Nice but it only shoots 640x480 at 30fps. The Kodak Zi6 shoots in 720P High Def at 60 fps. That's why Mark's vids look so good. High Def. I got it refurbished with a 1 year Kodak warranty for $86 shipped on ebay. It looks brand new. The Tascam I managed to find for $150 shipped on the net. MF and GC sell them for $200. It doesn't have a remote like Mark's Edirol so I won't look as cool when I turn it on. :D

I just like the all in one package. Quick and easy.

I've been looking at HD cameras and seperate audio recorders, but I'm not looking to win academy awards. :D I am just lazy. I want point, click, record.

Someone send me a Mod50 with a DLX and an SL2+ and I guarantee 100,000 youtube views on it in <1 year.
Otherwise money back :D

I hear you.

More clips would be awesome, specially from the guys at Egnater themselves. I agree clips are not representative of what the amp does, but at the same time not every store carries them, so most of us rely on clips to buy stuff.

I still think the best clips out there, are the ones Indoor Storm made...they are the reason I have a Mod50. Also, recording with an SM57 wouldn't hurt.

Those vids sold me on the Egnater modules. I ordered my M4 after only hearing those vids. And there are times when I'm playing my EG3/4 with no delay or reverb. Totally dry, when I hear that tone that Eddie Berman gets in those vids. That reminds me. I need to call Eddie and find out when my Suhr Modern is going to be finished. :D

I've been thinking about getting a HD video cam . Is the Kodak better , worse , same as the one Mark uses ? Also, what connection is used to download vids onto the PC ?

They'll both do 720p at 60fps and have USB jacks for download to your pc but the reason I picked the Kodak was that it uses SD cards. Up to 32MB. The Creative only has 8GB built in and you can't expand with cards. So when it's full, you need to DL to a PC. Plus the Kodak uses AA batteries and comes with 2 rechargeables and a charger. The Creative uses a proprietary battery.

The Kodak just seemed more flexible. Especially if you want to take it on vacation.

Same here!

I'm gonna get a good camera that can take a good stereo mic, and do some vids. Also, I'm gonna do the same but also use SM57s. So you can hear both the room and the close mic'ed sounds.

I personally liked the Indoor Storm stuff, but felt he always solo'ed too damn much on those videos. You don't get a real feel of the amps tones unless you do some good chording IMHO. I felt they were good, but not great. Great sound quality yes, but not great for me to truly tell what I wanted. Talking to Jeff helped w/ that mostly! :)
