Hello guys.
Recently I was wondering about a signature pedals from great master Zakk Wylde :
- MXR ZW-44 Overdrive
- MXR ZW-44 Berzerker Overdrive

Any difference between them ? ( beside box image)

My buddy recomended me this pedal as a booster , but only "berzerker" is produced now.

They had to stop making the original "overdrive" as it made all your notes pinched harmonics :D

and grow a beard that has food hidden in it.

And wear chains on your wallet that dragged and got caught on door handles...

But seriously though, i have no clue. It is a noisy as f-ck overdrive but it does have a flavour to it. I have a 2004 version. Got it in a trade. I like it with Marshall voiced amps..

and made you quit showering for weeks at a time...to the point that your perspiration ate through your bls vest....true story.... ;)

just get the classic overdrive. In stock mode it is a killer tube screamer, if you open it up there is a switch that turns it into the zw overdrive. You can also have a toggle switch put on it that lets you switch it on the fly (that's what I did). to me the zw-44 is basically a boss sd-1 that has been tweaked a bit.

Hmm, never heard of the "berserker" model. I had an older one that I dug with my modded recto, but I actually like the cheap-ass MXR Classic OD a lot better. It has the ZW circuit and the GT-OD in one pedal and the GT circuit is sweet.
