The only thing I had Mark do was install a different bias so that any output tube can be used room permitting. Other than that it's as you would receive one today....Glad it's in good hands and with someone that knows what a great amp sounds like and how to dial them in..

Are you sure you know how to dial that amp in correctly? Have you owned any other amps that needed to be dialed in? Are you following the "Diezel Dale Make it Sound Like Ass" settings or not? if not, I'm sorry but we can't believe anything you're saying.....

yo dude! not yet... Im hoping soon I have alot of sessions that I am going to be reamping and really want to use the ccv with the cameron cab... I picked up a tiny terror to hold me over, its really cool but unfortunatly... Its just not cutting it! I miss that 800 ... Hows she treating you? what a killer sounding amp!

yo dude! not yet... Im hoping soon I have alot of sessions that I am going to be reamping and really want to use the ccv with the cameron cab... I picked up a tiny terror to hold me over, its really cool but unfortunatly... Its just not cutting it! I miss that 800 ... Hows she treating you? what a killer sounding amp!

Here is something that anyone with an ear for great tone knows...
A truly great sounding amplifier doesn't need to be "dialed in".A great sounding amplifier sounds great no matter how its controls are set...period! If you plug into an amp,and cannot get a pleasing tone within 5 seconds...buy a different amp! Even more important than that - If you're able to "dial in" a tone that sounds like "ass"... buy a different amp!

So you could dial in an amp with all mids, bass/treble/presence/depth (if it has it) to zero, put the master at 10 and gain at about 2, and if it sounded like crap it's a bad amp?
What color is the sky on planet crackpot? I do believe you should be able to dial in a useful sound in a few minutes on a good amp, but to say that EVERY setting should sound good is wrong-o.
