Haha, I hear you bud, but I used to have a strat and other guitars, but ended up selling them in favor of more PRS. There are some hollowbodies in there. The collection is a little more varied than it seems, with kind of a Noah's arch theme going on...two of a kind but with some differences between them:
-Singlecut hollowbody with piezo
-McCarty hollowbody
-McCarty
-Studio (2 narrow fields + hum and 5 way switch)
-Singlecut satin trem
-Singlecut
set to different tunings amongst them. It may not seem like it's that diverse because they're all the same company and build woods, but I can get a surprisingly wide range of tones with all the pickups, configurations, and mainly push-pulls. Also, not to mention, the modules
Still the guitar collection isn't done yet...one more to go: I want to put together a Jazzmaster body in daphne blue or seafoam green, 25' scale, 3 P-rail pickups, 5 way switch, and stop tail. That should cover any other sounds I don't have right now and look totally different and kick ass.
I just love playing, buying/selling, collecting, and being a weekend warrior. I'm certainly not talented enough to justify the gear, but it never fails to put a smile on my face. I used to have a strat and other guitars, but as great as they sounded, I'd put them down on the rack and go back to the PRSi, which I just can't put down once I start.
