I played it for a couple of hours at work ( it was a slow afternoon )
I'm very impressed!!! Despite the fact I used a guitar I don't know ( Schecter Tempest Blackjack with Duncan JB and 59)
and a cab with new V30's ( I hate new unbroken in V30's), it killed!
The MH has a clarity, depth and string separation that I have never heard before. It is almost scary standing in front of this beast. I seemed to stay mostly in channel 3 and 4 but the other channels sounded fantastic. One sound that surprised me that I didn't expect was diming ch 1 or 2 in voicing H with the boost on. This gave me a JTM-45 "ready to blow up" tone. A bit loose bottom end with a fuzzy character. Think Eric Clapton and Cream! extremely cool! Tweaking this setting got me early Black Sabbath tones. Awesome !!! And this in the "clean Channels"!
Channels 3 and 4 had everything from Plexi to modded Marshall levels of gain, but with a clarity and definition that was astounding. I played everything from Black Crowes to Priest and it handled it effortlessly.
Getting to the Channels 5 and 6 I got help from a young co-worker who whipped out a 7-string Schecter
with EMG's and the MH blew him away. He was almost scared by the hugeness and
punch of it. " How will I be able to go back to my Engl Fireball after this"
was his comment :-
I can't wait to try the MH with my guitars, cabs and effects
Anyway, can you tell I like it?
