Does anyone here that is using an AMP Gizmo or Mini Amp Gizmo know what each of the Pins of the special cable going out of the Amp Gizmo do. They use an 8-Pin DIN connector. I know that PINS 1,2,3,4 control functions 1,2,3,4 on the unit. I am assuming that Pins 5,6,7 & 8 are the same. Do they then just use the ground on the connector to short the pins to? The reason I am asking is I am looking at getting a Mini AMP Gizmo and I need long cables to go from my pedal board to my amps and RJM's prices for special cables are outrageous. I can get them made much cheaper if I know the pinout of the 8-Pin connector for the RJM side.

Thanks

Ive used the mini amp gizmo to control an Egnater Tourmaster, a Peavey Jsx, and a Mesa dual rec. They all required seperate interface cables. So, Im not sure if the pin functions are the same for each cable/amp. Because, for each application I needed to re-program the gizmo for the specific amp. I still have the cable for the Egnater Im selling on ebay very cheap. I seem to remember a diagram in the manual showing the pin layout, but I cant be sure. I think your best bet is to keep the gizmo either on, or close to your amp and use the standard rjm cable. Then just get the midi cable in the length you need to reach your pedal board.

Thanks. You wouldn't be interested in selling your Mini Amp Gizmo would you?

I already sold it. Great product! I highly recommend RJM gear.

I use the mini amp gizmo with my 5150 III and my G-system and it works great. Not sure about the pins though. I had Ron at RJM make me a custom 25' cable for $50. Not too outrageous compared to other cables I've bought. The idea that flimz mentioned about putting the gizmo close to your amp and then getting a long MIDI cable is a good idea if the price of long RJM cable is to steep for you. Good luck!

Thanks. If anyone has a Mini Amp Gizmo that they are looking to sell PM me with a price.

Thanks,
JC
