I meassured the response of the both in this settings:
-Sunday Driver: driver mode, 0dB boost
-Sunday Driver: driver mode, full boost
-Sunday Driver: sunday mode, 0dB boost
-Sunday Driver: sunday mode, full boost
-Line Driver: 0dB boost
-Line Driver: full boost
As you can see, the Sunday driver in its "driver" mode (switch pressed in) works exactly like the line driver but only with less maximal boost. The sunday mode doesn't boost the highs, so the sound gets warmer the more you boost.
That said: I do like how the Sunday Driver sounds in its "sunday" mode with electric guitars and prefer it to other boosters because it doesn't become harsh when you boost. I'm sure the autor spent some time finding the right cut-off frequency. As a line driver it seems to do the same as other line drivers based on OPAMPs but with a lower maximal boost.
