Decided to make it a MKii and sell after it's up to spec. Will create a new listing when I receive it. Thanks for the interest.

Or what if we don't want to "bring it to mkii specs" and want to have it repaired elsewhere? then just $1,500 to you?

The $200 Rick charges is all inclusive of and duties/fees, no sales tax. I've bought a few amps from him and this is the going rate unless you're buying a couple at a time.
Sounds like the amp is being completely rebuilt, not sure why folks on the other thread are losing their minds. Rick is an honest guy and builds a hell of an amp. If you didn't buy him and got it second hand you're kinda at the mercy of how many other irons he has in the fire and how bad you need the amp fixed is my guess. I had a used MC1 50w years ago that i sent him as it had an issue with a cap or something. price was about $500 to fix, update and ship, but wasn't doing a complete rebuild like yours.

Ah, bummer! So sorry to hear this man. That was a sweet amp. Let me know if you need more pics!

Great question, hadn't thought of that. Will say no to that option right now as it's already with Rick. If no one bites in a few days I'll just have him MKii it and then either sell or idk what. Maybe some money will fall from the sky. Ha ha.

Thanks Dave, absolutely love this amp and wish I had bought a fryette ps100 or UA Ox instead. Better luck next time I guess.

Ah good to know about the shipping fee, thanks man. Yeah the amps are mind blowing and hoping this turns out differently but if not  Love your youtube channel brother!

Either way you go the amp will be as new when you get it back. If you decide which direction that would be good for folks considering buying it. $1500 to you and $1500 to Rick is different than $1500 + $2400 ;)

You would need the transformer which is some super special MM iron that they wont sell to you. Although I know Burger and a few guys have built Wizard clones but since I've never played a Wizard or the clone so I cant say how the transformers they use compare.

Yes, I know we would need the transformer still but that's not apart of the "bring to mkii specs for $2,200" or whatever it was Rick was quoting the OP. I just meant can we buy it off of OP for $1,500 and have the transformer replaced without bringing it to these new mkii specs and take it elsewhere for anything else that might be fried.

I believe the amp is in Canada with Rick at the moment.
