  Back in the late 90's I was on a Wizard mission. I got the 50w ARD from Black Market Music in LA and a few other Wizards from them as well. I had more Wizards then pictured but back then, no digital camera. I had 3 Wizard Metals total, one had a custom plate on it which said "made for Neil Schon". It was a different circuit than my other Metals but sounded pretty much the same. It also had a tube loop which none of the others had. Also had a Wizard Rock Standard for a while.

I ended up selling that ARD back to Wizard. I don't remember the guy's name, it wasn't Rick, but someone working for him back when they were still in Van.BC around 99 or 2000.....seems like a lifetime ago.
Cheers,
Mike

Cool story- I played that Schon one- a friend of mine owned it for a while. He bought it from SBG.com here in the twin Cities.

Me too. In fact, I think most people always seem to like smaller logos on amps. For instance, older Marshalls and the smaller logos look better, older Dual Rectos had smaller logos and they look better...older Wizard amps had smaller logos and they looked better, etc. Pay attention Mike!  J/K

Black one has the A tranny and the gold one was the one I demoed in Nashville and then called the shop telling JL I HAD to have it. It's the C tranny and a particularly great sounding MC100. (They ALL sound great but this one has something special!)

Some of my old stuff.

The last one was a 50 watt Vintage Classic that was based on a JTM45 circuit rather than a Plexi and had more gain than a standard VC by a good bit. That's one I really regret letting go. I can't remember who I sold it to though, so, if you're out there, give me shout.
