Love this guys style (except the gloves). IMO Back For The Attack hs some of the greatest solos ever recorded. He likes his gear as well!

Interesting phrasing and note choices.

At his prime! Killer guitar also.

What do you guys make of his newer stuff. The jury is still out for me on "Kill All Control" and "Let The Thruth Be Known". "Sacred Groove" has some good songs. I read somewhere he used a prototype of a Bognor Ecstasy of that album.

Very Underrated player.

I agree!!! He is one of the best in my opinion and is part of the great LA trilogy (EVH, RR, and GL). I was just listening to BFTA yesterday and that album smokes. I do like Sacred Groove though and you cannot forget about Wicked Sensation!!!!

Yeah i love Wicked Sensation, Rain is one of my fav songs! Dokken are also great, until he left for the first time.

Have you seen this?

Yeah EVH, Lynch and Warren Demartini. They are my favs form the whole LA scene.

Lynch appreciation thread on Rig Talk.

I KNOW, RIGHT!!
Anyway....The OP said he was very
Underated. I don't think so, at all....
I think George has gotten all of the
Accolades he deserves over the years.
I Love Lynch, he has his own thing goin' on
and is revered by many of his peers.

I like the Lynch/Pilson "Wicked Underground"
Album they put out together. Solid, Heavy riffs
Melodic solos and Decent vocals by Jeff Pilson,
Great/Solid Album!

Good Instrumental here:
Kind of a Mexican Bandito Groove,
that belongs in a Tarantino Flick.

Why so serious?? Is this like the Rebecca Dirks Appreciation thread..   ??

Gorgeous tones and awesome vibrato! One of the best in the business.

I am a little bit of a fan myself.

depends on the day. I hate his tone when its over saturated and too much delay/reverb going on. He seems to have a lot of bad live days caught on tape for some reason. It reminds me of sometimes picking up the guitar and trying to blaze away without being warmed up, like he's fighting the simplest of things or just struggling to get the tone he wants to hear or something. Sometimes his great, sometimes its really bad...

I saw them back in the day after Tooth and Nail came out, he was excellent live. He also was excellent on Tony MacAlpine's album where he and Jeff Watson from Night Ranger played on a few tracks.

Im not the fan of George that I used to be but I think that hes far from underrated.. The guy has his own style and sound in spades and has influenced a crapload of people... Hes not as consistent as he used to be IMHO but when hes on, he lives up to the Mr Scary moniker like no ones business..

Well said

I love Lynch although I'm not crazy about some of his more recent stuff. He's one of the guys who got me interested in guitar back in the day.

Here are some pics from the show at Chesters HD in Mesa AZ on the 23rd.

Enjoy !

His work on the Tooth and Nail album pushed me over the top and got me to start taking lessons back when I was 15. Huge influence and he has the most identifiable style of all the 80's guitar slingers imho. The guy can play one phrase and you know its him....very rare.

Thanks for posting this man! Love this video. George Lynch Fing rocks.

I never get tired of hearing Lynch's playing...not so much into the songwriting on Souls of We and the Lynch/Pilson thing...but smoking catalogue of work.
