I've sent a couple emails already, one at the beginning of April regarding a footswitch issue and still have yet to receive a response. Anyone else having a hard time with them? Anyone know a better way of finding a resolution?

I sent an email earlier this week, no reply.

Isn't it just lovely? Maybe I'll have better luck when I switch to Diezel!

Did you sent one to Fryette or VHT? They are different companies now and I don't know which company would handle garanty stuff if you have an old VHT amp. In the last case, my bet would be on the company carrying the VHT name.

I sent it to Fryette. I bought my amp just before Steve sold the company and announced it. Had no problem getting a hold of him then and they're supposed to be continuing support on all their lines, including the Ultra Lead that I own, but they're really blowing in the "reply" department at the moment.

Maybe I should try my luck on the Fryette/VHT forum.

The new VHT doesn't warranty, service or have anything to do with Steve Fryette's amps regardless of them buying the company name.

Matt

what problem are you having with the footswitch?
pm me or call me at the store.

Cheers!

I think you are right, this is on the VHT website:

"Where can I get service for my VHT amp?

Service for VHT is handled through our dealers, so contact the store where you bought it and they will be glad to help you out. However, if your VHT amp was manufactured prior to January 1, 2009, for service click here."

Good to know as I own a VHT Pittbull.

i had some problems with them, too. i finally got some resolution, but it required persistence.

I have had EXCELLENT support with Fryette. Just a few months ago I had some issues and they took prompt care of me via email support:
support@sfdamp.com

I think like many company's they down sized with the changing economy. Some people are doing more than one job over there. Just a guess from what I have seen every place.

I would try calling if you already sent out a few emails. They have always treated me good .... but sometimes it took a little longer than I first thought it would.

+1 for below par customer service from freyette....

What a bummer. Kind of makes you feel like a fool for spending so much on an amp.

Anyway, DiezelMonster's gonna try to help me out. Chris is the man!

Have you tried physically calling them? That might help, I have heard that along with the changing of the company name and all of that, they have downsized a lot, and don't have the human resources to always respond to emails right away

I was going to do that next. I was just away a lot this month and figured email would be best. I'm surprised I didn't hear back from the first email I sent at the beginning of April. I'm not pissed at them, disappointed though. Was mostly curious to see if this was a regular occurance.
