Here is a new board I did for John Shanks. The board revolves around the Providence Pec-2 switcher. The chain goes like this. Gtr-rc boost- loop 1 [comp]- loop 2 [red snapper]-loop 3 [nobles od]- loop 4 [ box of rock]- loop 5 [used as cc# switch via midi for the eventide bypass ]-out to vol pedal- loop 6 [ Digitech reverb]- loop 7 [ strymon brigadier]- loop 8 [ boss ce-2] out to the neo ventilator stereo out to Eventide time factor in stereo and out to 2 amps of choice. All is powered by 2 Glab power supplies. There is also a custom power supply built into the board for the Pec-2 switcher. Enjoy

Nice!! Good to see my buddy Rob Keeley's Compressor in there.

Hi, Dave.
Do you have any photos of the bottom of the board?
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry no. He took the pictures because it went out the door before I got them.

Isn't John Shanks the guy that just did the new Van Halen album? :D At least thats what he posted on his twitter page!

No John goes back with me about 19 years. I was doing work for him way before any fame.

Really? I never heard of the guy before actually. Not really someone that gets mentions for the type of music that I listen too. I checked out his website and didn't really recognize most of the artists there. Does he live in LA? Aannnndddd.... does he have a Friedman Amp in his arsenal? ;)

I sure hope that he did a great job on the recording process for Van Halen. I am sure he's a really good producer if they chose him. This will be a make or break album for Van Halen, and it has to sound wicked!

cool board Dave, the PEC-2 is an awesome unit. Id love to hear about all the in depth details involved in powerin evrything as well as pics of all the wiring underneath

He took the pictures and I don't have a underside one. Everything is powered with GLAB power supplies. I modded one to power the neo.

Johns a good guy and has like 6 Grammy Nominations and the Grammy for Producer of the Year and some crazy amount of #1 singles (43) or something like that. He does Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and tons of others fyi...
