Well, imo it's the makeup lol. Probably should just be the hairspray a poodle-poof hair though, but then that would include a lot of the others that don't really sound like hair metal/party-metal.

But they really were not hair metal (imo) until Hysteria. On Hysteria they really beat all the LA boys at their own game (by the sales numbers). I still really like the first three, especially Pyromania, so I've always hated to group them with Hysteria.

Slippery When Wet has probably sold the most of any of the glammy bands. Appetite For Destruction and Back In Black have sold more but I wouldn't put them in the glam dept. Best imo is none at all!

Go with round core like ghs boomers then. I use the boomers on a couple guitars that are naturally really bright and wide/scooped. The boomers with their round cores seem to have a bit more to the mids and are a bit less open-sounding in the top and bottom vs most hex-cores.

I think it's a you thing. Any of the main string brands are fine for most commons.

I began my modest cassette collection with both BMG and Columbia House orders when I was around 12yrs old. I had a few randoms before that but these deals allowed me to really check-out a bands whole arsenal all at once.

^^^Yep, Carbon-Fiber Jazz 3 w/max-grip is the best.

I love the defeat switch on the front of the amp. It routes your input signal straight to the loop's return for bypassing the amp's preamp and using your own stuff.

The two are not always related. Resistance does not equal output.

Multi-Watt Triple Rectifier is my favorite amp.

I like KK. Hope he/they keep going. The music isn't very interesting to me anymore, but I sure don't get all the hate. Sounds like pure jealousy.

The Deicide albums up through Serpents Of The Light are f'n great imo, after that I can take or leave.
