So there's a ton of talk about the differences between the 2ch and the 3ch Rectifiers and their different revisions... but are those heads REALLY as different as the forum hype wants you to believe? Here's a back to back comparison of my RevF 2 channel and my 3 channel heads (pre Multi-Watt)...
So for some reason this pedal seems to be the laughing stock of the entire guitar community, there are loads of memes and jokes about this pedal and how it's just a can of bees etc...but WHY?
Here's my take on it...because it's affordable and for a long time it was the easiest solution for kids...
Hello,
I'm trying to restore an old 1979 Flying V I recently bought and got 2 "T-Tops" off ebay classified for a good price.
Now these look a bit odd to me...first of all only one of them has the T on the bobbins, they both have two rows of adjustable poles and they both read around 16.2kΩ...

Here's a wee coparison of my two 2 channel Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifiers.
One is a RevG rackmount (upgraded with Mercury Magnetics transformers), the other one is a RevF
I used the same settings on both amps, except for the presence knob which works differently on the RevG, so I turned it up to...
Everyone knows that the classic Marshall JMP and JCM 800 are not only killer amps, but also great platforms to mod and take into high gain territory.
Yet some people might not wanna mod their good old 2203/2204, some even scream blasphemy.
In my opinion nothing is ever blasphemy that improves...
Yup, this 33 year old daddy of metal amps can still hang with the new high gain heads....
