Thanks Glip. Yeah I think this is beyond my scope (pun intended). Now to find a tech…

So, I replaced the power tubes with a matched quad and the left tube blew As well as the 4 amp fuse. Looked at the old tubes I took out and one of those was blown, same spot as the one I replaced that blew. im lost. Off to an amp tech.

Excuse my ignorance but can I just swap,out one tube, assuming I find out which one it is, or do I need to replace the whole set?

Any idea why? Could it possibly be the power tubes? Does this amp have a rectifier tube and if so, is that a possibility? thanks

Hello, so my wiz mtl suddenly loses volume almost completely. I can power it down then turn it back on and the volume comes back (slowly but it comes back). Does this sound like tubes? thanks!

I have the Friedman 4x12/15 and you are correct it’s holy shit.

I was all set to trade it for a w800 but he decided to keep it. And after using the mtll last night with the band, I think I’ll keep it. It’s really a great amp after all.

The mtl has a loop. The mc, no loop. think I’m gonna get rid of the mtl though…

I have modern classic, and also an Mtl mk2 but not bonding with it exactly. Love the Mc.

I have Dave Friedman installing the loop. I tried making it work without one but I’ve determined I absolutely needed one.

Fx loop. it’s not much but still a mod.
