It does seem like the signal is bad in the pots ! When I set the bias the sound came up stronger and better when I cut the bass up but still not near as good of a sound it had before ? I will get to it after awhile . Pots are a good start , hope I can access those ok ?

That happened to me changing to jj el844 pair of tubes which are slightly lower power 9 watts each instead of 12 watts and could not run them ! Different tubes could be high demand or low but too high unable to achive bias point is not good !
