Frustrated AF with my amp search

Honestly you may want to try a different forum man - not that you can't get good recs here but this forum is mostly hard rock/metal focused. Have you tried tan pants dot com?

    Thoughts on EBMM guitars?

Rabea's new sig coming out any day now will have a proper chunky neck apparently

    Aristides guitars. Worth try??

They're incredible - forget about the consistency and stability, they sound incredible as well. Extremely resonant, they just have a little "more" than most guitars I've played. I loved it so much I bought another one and rarely touch anything else anymore.

    NAD Cornford MK50

He's building one and it's cheaper than a Wizard https://www.victoryamps.com/mk-clean-mk-overdrive/

This girl has some killer Cookie Monster pipes.................................

One of the best live bands in the world - incredibly tight. Elite musicianship + one of the best and most charismatic vocalists in heavy music. Highly recommend checking them out if they come your way even if you're not into music quite that heavy.

    TOOL Last Night...

A saw them a few weeks ago in Dallas - top 5 show all time for me. Probably the loudest large venue show I've ever seen but you could still hear everything clear as a bell. Probably helps that I was basically right in front of the sound guys all night. Interesting that he didn't have his...

Diezel VH Mini at NAMM 2024

Yeah, looks like a mini VH2 which makes perfect sense from a small footprint/cost perspective. I've never played a VH2 but the VH4 is one of my favorite amps of all time. I've heard VH2 sounds a little more produced/less raw than VH4, will be interesting to see how the mini sounds.

What is your favourite guitar tube amplifier? Only one, please

Depends on the month (or day, in some cases). Fortunate to have a bunch of cool amps here and I change it up often. Right now I'm really, really digging the Orange Rockerverb MkIII which didn't come close to making my top 5 when that thread came up a few months ago. Bright, aggressive...

My opinions on gear at NAMM

Check out Sonic Drive Studio on YouTube (he also posts here on occasion). He did an interview with the dude from Lichtlaerm specifically about the new amp.

    Diezel VH4 or VHX? Herbert?

OP, sounds like you're gonna have to buy all 3. Sorry bud :ROFLMAO:

    Diezel VH4 or VHX? Herbert?

I think it does. VHX is still a stout 100w power section and it's still analog - the digital brain of that amp doesn't impact things like bigness to my ear. I haven't run VH4 and VHX side by side with something like a switcher to be sure but VHX feels plenty powerful to me and doesn't sound...

    Diezel VH4 or VHX? Herbert?

These things are always tough because people hear things differently, we all play differently with different signal chains etc. I own a '22 VH4, '23 Herbert Mk3 and '21 VHX so I can give my quick impressions: VH4 is the only one of the three I will never get rid of. People talk about the...

WTB Headfirst Drop in Effects loop upgrade for 2203X

Email Jason Tong at Headfirst (headfirst.amplification@gmail.com). You'll pay him and he will fulfill the order but it will be shipped by Shea from the US. I just did this - it was extremely easy. Just think of it as Headfirst having a distribution center in the US.

"Well, it's finally time.... Selling my beloved amp". Really?!

For some reason people feel like they need to justify why they're selling something. "If it's not good enough for me then why would someone else buy it" - simpletons. Nobody cares why you're selling the amp. I never have at least as long as the amp is accurately described in the listing.
