Jake E Lee's white hardtail "Charvel" is a Fender

of course they were. Still easier with a shorter scale. But to be honest, I can't see how that should have been done to an existing neck. The truss seems to be the original. So how would it have been done?

Jake E Lee's white hardtail "Charvel" is a Fender

They shortened the neck? That would explain some of those crazy stretches…

    Larry DINO JM802 Video

To my ears, that Marshall sounds a more Marshally than the Dino (well sounds obvious now that I write it), while the current Dino has a strong own voice. This one has more of that upper mid gain of a Marshall. The Dino has more harmonic overtones, a bit less upper mid bite and a larger grained...

    Larry DINO JM802 Video

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Eddy. He is a god on guitar and he not only had some of the best tones in Rock, he even invented that tone to a large degree. He is one of my heroes and always will be. Having said that, to my taste Eddy had some bad tone with some of his newer amps/recordings. His...

    It's Lynch Friday!

Is a Marshall major having so much gain (never 've seen one in real life) or is that boosted?

    Do power cords effect tone?

Btw, this was not about, if power cables make differences but I understood, the OP gets significant noise if not using exactly one special cable....

    Do power cords effect tone?

Hm, I am from Europe, so I don't know a lot about your "power conditions" but can it be, that the one cable that works is the broken one? Here in Europe we have besides the two main stripes a third for protection. Might it be that this is actually broken in your only good cable and for what ever...

    Where are all the Goldfingers?

I haven't ever played a SL but the GF45 is awesome! One of the best, if not the best clean channels I know. The driven channels are super versatile and cover everything from vintage to VH territory. I guess there is little talk here, as the GF (at least the 45) has more a vintage vibe, not so...

    Shiva 20th tube layout?

I changed mine to EL34 (which takes a resistor clip) which improved the tone to my ears a lot. But it becomes more "classic" sounding with El34s, so might not be your thing. And as it needs to clip a resistor, I am not sure I should recommend. But another option....

UPDATE: Reveal posted! Blind test #2! (Marshall JCM 800 vs Line 6 Helix vs Kemper vs Axe Fx III)

Can't tell as I don't have one of those, but thanks for the video! Great fun! And yes, they sound different, some better to my liking, some worse. The one thing I can say, I couldn't say which was the tube amp. But this is comparing the recorded sound of course. In the room might be a different...

I always thought the PMMS is the rarest. Have you been able to play one? Does it differ from the Dino?

Short audio clip of the Larry Dino 962.

This takes some time, as there are really many many amazing sound in the Brit channel alone. To be honest I stay 90% in this one channel alone. That channel and the volume pot of the guitar is completely sufficient for me to go from blues to 80s hard rock without touching the amp. On the other...

Short audio clip of the Larry Dino 962.

Hi Blue, besides the gain, I use almost identical settings on the British (the only I looked closely) as in the "yellow Ibanez video". I slightly adjust presence or treble to match the guitar I play. To my ears presence and the treble sit At different frequencies, so I balance pre and power amp...
