    New Teal Amp Setup (JMP-1)

Built up a small "Teal" amp with a JMP-1, Palmer 402 and TC Gmajor. Retolex'd an old cab to match. Just need to ad some speaker cones then I can use it all together. Really happy with it. It's a cool little practice rig. Can change patch with the JMP-1 pedal and the GMajor will change with it.

Vinnie Vincent - What Is Going On?

I think we all know about Mr.Vincent by now. The drama seems endless with this man. Here is a brief rundown: - Vinnie plays as a session guy a few unsuccessful bands and a "Happy Days" TV show. - Joins, then leaves KISS after helping with songwriting in the early 80s. - Makes the VVInvasion...

    First Pedal Build

Tried making a delay pedal using the PCB kit from Jeds Peds (UK based). Turned out okay I think! Sprayed the chassis emerald green and added pink knobs. Just need to make labels for the controls. It's a pretty gnarly lo-fi delay, really fun to use, hard to tame.

    Small Rock/Metal Show Pet Peeves

On the whole, most small shows I see are great. Passionate folks showing us their art and entertaining us for pennies. But... we all have pet peeves at small shows so what are yours? Here are a few of mine: - If you can't actually sing harmonies (90% of people) then get rid of that mic stand...

    Unique "Heavily Processed" 80s/90s Tones

Give me some of your coolest "heavily processed" tones. The ones used to create texture, atmosphere and wash. Big racks, drenched in reverb and delay etc! Enchant - The Thirst (Likely a tri-axis with a bit of a cocked wah? Delay, reverb and chorus as standard) Rush - Big Money (I think this...

PowerAmp + Cab or FRFR + IR Loader?

I currently run a Palmer Macht 402 into a custom 2 x 12 at home which sounds great. However I'd really like to get an FRFR speaker to use live with my Fractal for stage volume/monitoring, since it will cut out the need for a heavy cab and power amp. Question 1: If I was to go this route...

Questions About The G Major 1 and JMP-1 FX Loop

I've been rebuilding my home rack rig and pulled out an old Lexicon unit to use elsewhere. This left me a 1U rack space for an effects unit so I grabbed a cheap TC Electronics G Major 1 that popped up. I had a poor experience with the G Major 2, which needed a new ribbon cable for the screen...

Why I Dislike Gibson (WARNING OPINION!)

I'm not a fan of Gibson, and this opinion has resulted in some serious hate and personal attacks, which I find pretty funny. If I had a penny for every time I was told "Look who uses Gibson" and "The best records where recorded with them," I'd be able to buy a Gibson! Shilling for a failing...

Gibson Makes Cardigans For Geography Teachers

So it's well known as far back as 1986, Gibson has tried to make themselves a "diverse music lifestyle brand" (what ever that means haha). I get that buying your way into a new market can be profitable for big companies, but Gibson seems completely un-self-aware in their attempt to brand...

Year Long Kemper/Tube Amp "Blind Test"?

So every Tube Amp you saw on screen wasn't being played. It was all being done through a Kemper. Proves how much we listen with our eyes. But also proves how Youtubers don't mind lying to their viewers haha. That is if it's even possible to hear the nuances through compressed youtube audio...
