Active vs Passive Reactive Load

Hi, just curious how the Torpedo Live or Reload differs in it's approach vs the Captor specifically with it's load characteristics, if at all. The Captor is a passive implementation with fixed approximations for the treble and resonance circuits. Is the approach of the Torpedo load different? TIA

Torpedo Captor, Live and Reload share a very similar design regarding the load box. All 3 have a passive reactive load that is designed to mimic the impedance response (that changes depending on the frequency) of a speaker when loading an amp - not a fixed impedance such as a resistive design would do.
The differences between the units are on other features such as the attenuator:
- Torpedo Live does not have a built§in attenuator
- Torpedo Captor has a single fixed step attenuation (-20 dB). The attenuator is passive (it does not require power to work)

- For Reload, the reactive load box is followed by an ultra-low-distorsion, wide-band, low-noise solid-state amplifier based on a widely used HiFi architecture. This power amplifier is fed a signal lifted straight from the load box coming from the amp.
