Boss OC-3 worth buying? When does EVH use it?

Boss OC-3 worth buying to use sparingly as a weird effect?
I have seen it on EVH's board.. what songs does EVH use it on? China Town and what else?

He says he uses it for the outro to Drop Dead Legs. And he kicks it on during his solo for a cool little riff. On Fair Warning he uses some kind of octave effect at the end of Unchained. I've always though it might be a cool pedal to own.
