cannot get footswitch to activate solo boost on CCV

I have pre production CCV which doesent seem to want to footswitch the solo boost.
the footswitch changes between channel 1 and channel 2 but it will not activate the solo boost
I dont know if I missed something , do I need to set it up a specific way or should it just work if I plug the footswitch in
 
Is this a new problem (did the switch previously work)? I bought a 2 button footswitch from Nick (dawnofdream) and it works well.

I found the problem there was intermittent continuity in the cable where the cable enters the footswitch.
problem now solved :)
