captor problem

Hoping to find an "expert" in the field . I was trying my new Marshall 1987x through my cab m into the captor as a load box. I had the amp pretty loud. After a while it sounded thin and farty. I then tried to run it through the attenuator and speaker cab. Still sounds bad. Did I damage the Captor? I tested the resistance per the manual and it reads fine. What else can I test.

Thanks for getting in touch. Ross from Two notes here. Your amplifier is rated lower than the Captor in terms of power output therefore I dont think that your levels were the root cause here.
