New Celestion 100 Alnico guitar speaker​

In celebration of Celestion's 100th anniversary, the Celestion 100 embodies the essence and tone of the early G12 alnico guitar speakers that were instrumental in defining the British guitar sound.
During the late 1950s Celestion chief engineer Les Ward took the General Purpose G12 radio speaker and made it tougher for use in guitar amplifiers. Most famously these included the T530 Vox Blue and T650 Marshall Silver, though there were other models along the way, all adding to the rich history of this much revered speaker.
In developing the Celestion 100, the company has referenced its collection of early alnico guitar speakers to create a new G12, built both to look and sound just like a speaker from that era, conveying the unique sonic spirit of those legendary G12s. Expect a blooming low end and refined treble with a sweet, shimmering presence. The 100 compresses beautifully when pushed to distortion, with the glorious dampened attack that is the trademark of Celestion alnico guitar speakers."

Looks like a Celestion T650 G12 Silver Alnico speaker. These are the Celestion speakers that were used in early Marshall cabinets with the original H1777 cone.

Yep. But with 30w, instead of 15w. I already want a set for a 4x12 really bad!!!

Exactly.
I was thinking a pair or quad myself.

They have been developing a cone based on the Pulsonic for a few years. I'm curious if they are going to be using this cone with ceramic magnets ?

I think those are the 40 ounce magnets. In both that is.

A greenback with a Pulsonic influenced cone has been mentioned by people at Celestion.
I'm kind of curious what other speakers are coming out for the 2024 100th anniversary ?

Yikes. That certainly diminishes my interest. I wonder if there’s a Scumnico that could basically be that speaker.
