tell me about it....i'm talking about the original, not the Pro. i have an opportunity to get one with the 1.00 firmware in it for $50 used at a store. i had the opportunity to check it out in person today....we plugged it in with a 1-spot power adaptor, and used it to change patches on a Vetta II HD, and everything seemed to be in working order....no flakey switches, as far as i could tell. anyway, i was wondering about the phantom power capabilities with it....it looks like it takes 9VAC, but the unit i'm planning on using it with (Engl Z-7 MIDI interface) puts out 11VAC when the phantom power is turned on. would this damage the GC if i used the phantom power?
also, what are the differences in the GC with the 1.00 and 2.4 firmware? i'm only planning on using it for PC messages, since the Z-7 doesn't recognize CCs, and i don't use any effects.
