Hey there - hope one of you guys can help me out. The v5 power tube in my Engl was shut down by the Power Amp monitoring system. I needed a re-tube anyway, so I purchased new tubes in hopes that this would address the problem.
The new tubes have been installed and biased, however, the v5 tube will still not activate. I've tried flipping the standby switch many times but no luck. It will not reset. So, either there's a glitch with my reset system, or I've got some other problem. My guess is the latter because the old tube in v5 still tested good.
Have any of you out there had similar problems with your Engl? Any suggestions or clues where to begin the diagnosis?
I'm guessing it's still safe to run, just not as much power? It seems to run fine.
