Oh alright. This thing seems interesting but i just upgraded my Dean ML with a big brass block, and didn't notice that much difference... it maybe makes it a little darker??

Anomaly, We offer the Rock Block upgrade for any Dean 28mm ML or Razorback guitars. 1 of our endorsed artists Ira Black guitarists for (Lizzy Borden) uses 9) 28mm rock block on all his stage guitars and one 7 string.. Here is Iras take on the products performance:

"The Stone Tone Rock Block completes the circle of cosmic vibration!
When it comes to music, especially Rock-N-Roll and Heavy Metal, it comes from a very primal place. Try to imagine the the beginning of how humans made sound and you'll realize that we haven't come so far away from wood and stone! As metal is man-made, it still comes from earth elements as well, but don't pass up on the idea of utilizing stone. The Stone Tone Rock Block was made under pressure over millions of years from the elements of the cosmos. You want to get primal and even cosmic, go there for real with The Stone Tone Block tremolo modification and hear the true vibrations created by the universe!
Sustain, harmonics, beautiful, clear, full sounding chords, soaring solos! The right place at the right time, millions of years in the making:
Stone Tone Rock Block"

Showing A/B of stone blocks vs other material blocks, in the same guitar is what the people want.

We're currently working with several musicians to get this tedious task done while everyones schedule is either on tour or recording..

Jer, we have a current A / B demo here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiTJKuthBMk It's the most accurate comparison from stock nickel plated steel to the Rock Block upgrade.

The price on these blocks have been expensive and I agree, 166.00 + tax shipping gets up there quick. I didn't set the price, Floyd Rose did since they are our exclusive distributor and have several dealer pricing levels and OEM1 AND OEM2 etc. So after discussing many concerns of mine "we" decided that the availability of this upgrade would be available from the Floyd Rose website http://www.floydrose.com or http://www.stonetoneproducts.com at around half the price or less.

Artist pricing would be very affordable as well. This new pricing platform will take effect immediately by end of this week or soon after so I been told.
I will post the announcement here once that change takes place.

Yes, midnightlaundry we use the 4 th dencest material on Earth called Volcano Black Absolute Granite and it's Origin is India. Here is the actual Quarry.

LOL!!! HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD UNTIL NOW???

I friggin hate Floyd-style trems anyways (all but one of my axes with them are long gone). But I'm thinkin that I'd like to have all my solid-body electrics, as well as my acoustics retrofitted with StoneTone jumbo frets, nut and saddles once this whole Rock-Block [TM] thing really takes off. I'm thinking that a cool grand per axe would be reasonable for the retrofit.

This thread flat-out delivers!!! The Ronnie North video and Billy Blades mention are just icing on the cake.

Same old snake oil.... In the video, the guy quickly cycles through chords and flubs picking with a stock block then after replacing blocks with a stonetone, cranks the amp, let the chords ring out and leans into an arguably longer and different demo.

And with different amp settings   ;)

The Rock blocks are the optimum transducer for any stringed instrument comprised of a bridge system and increases your signal path to your amp retaining all the integrity of this natural material that's NOT man made as metal blocks are.

I filmed the video and there we're no adjustments on the amp setting whatsoever volume or tone... What you are hearing is the improved signal path resulting in the increased volume, sustain, clarity and so on.

Jeff loomis has 11 rock blocks and 4 of those are on his 6 string guitars that he's currently using on tour with Arch Enemy.

"After using the Stone Tone Rock Blocks on tour with Arch Enemy for almost 50 shows, my guitar tone has great clarity and is brighter (in a good way), punchier with allot more sustain besides better signal to my amp".

My guitar rig sounds awesome !

Yeah man, I dig it.

Goofy question here....I was always a Big Brass block upgrade user.
But using EMG pickups.....will upgrading a block make that much a difference with Active pickups?
Total serious question here.

But does it Djent? ...lol

Sorry but until I can hear a real comparison I just don't believe the hype.

You can give one for free to anybody and they will install it in their guitar and claim it's the "bee's knees" and smile for a picture..

same guitar, same cable, same amp, same volume, same settings..... show me the difference in tone!

until then I'll stick with the one I have which is working just fine...

Yes sir. No matter the pick up configuration,, this product improves your signal path and many other attributes.

How would any block improve the signal path??? I can you saying the way things resonate etc but sign path??

Right here> www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiTJKuthBMk

There is no way that is just the block, I am bouncing back and forth between the two actual playing parts of the demo, they don't even sound like the same amp for god's sake. Your credibility is once again very suspect.

It certainly is RG955TT... believe it or not, it's fact. You asked for the demo and that's it.
@ present there are currently over 400 artists using them and sales are steady.
Not because of hype.. due to the obvious upgrade that the video shows.

Here is Floyd Rose press release, or they liars too as well as the dozens of national players that are currently using them?
Until your buddy gets one and you hear or play it for yourself then you'll know...

Floyd Rose is proud to announce exclusive distribution of Stone Tone Rock Block sustain blocks. These patented blocks are made of granite, and are designed to enhance and strengthen the sound of your tremolo-equipped instrument across the entire audio spectrum. After installing a Stone Tone block, the guitar’s clarity, sustain, and overall tone will be improved equally in all ranges of the fret board… the extraordinary results of this upgrade are indisputable.

Granite, when quarried in its natural state, is not only of an ideal density for the purpose of sustain, but also has a crystalline atomic structure which is ideal for sonic transference— it requires no factory processing or dilution, and the natural change in sound, upon installation, is so drastic that signal loss from the guitar to the amplifier will be decreased by at least 30%. The Stone Tone Rock Block is compatible with the Floyd Rose Original Tremolo System and its derivatives, as well as many licensed models. Comes with stainless steel sustain block mounting screws, and available in an L-shape block configuration… check them out! http://www.floydrose.com

Not sure what to make of that A/B video. The "after" video does seem to have a lot more gain. If that's the product of the stone, I prefer the stock block. If it's because the amp was setup different, I'd have another A/B done that more accurately reflects the differences.

This sounds interesting
I have a bunch of Peavey HPs, some with Big Bras Blocks and some do not. There is a clear difference in tone and feel, the big block adds girth and sustain, but also takes away a bit of the high end attack. I countered that with some BK pickups and the result is awesome. If someone thinks there is no difference I am not sure what they're hearing...maybe they only have 1 guitar and are comparing the new block sound to their memory of the stock block (?) Memory on tone can be tricky. Also is the idea of floating vs blocked off. If it's floating, I imagine the tone difference may be less (?)

There's lots of credibility here between FR & the artists. Worth a look IMO, especially if one is looking at a tungsten block which is kind of in the same price range
