Floyd Rose Whammy up help

Hi guys. I've finally added a floyd rose guitar (JS1000) to the arsenal and tried whammying up (having the note go higher) but it only goes a little bit higher. By little bit I mean not even half a step. I have the main tremolo part parallel to the body (tension adjusted between strings and springs) and can't really see what it's getting stuck on. For floyd rose experts, is it just the way this bridge is or am I missing something?
 
Yeah pictures would be really helpful.

I've owned 2, JS-1000's many years ago and they have way more than just a half step pull up.

What year is your JS? Which Ibanez trem does it have?
 
My guess is that there is a big brass block upgrade in there and that the cavity for it is too small.
