LP is getting some work done so trying to make an SSS strat work for now. Cool in its own way I suppose. Using the Ubercab and boosting both with a BB preamp

Thanks man. They’re the stock pickups - just looked up what comes in the American pro 2 strat. They’re called VMod ii whatever that means

Both sound great brother...Man the old Peavey 5150 still holds up well against almost anything when it comes to high gain rhythm playing.

The strat is sounding really good on both amps. Would be interesting to listen to a redo of the comparison when your LP is back from the shop.

I like both amps, but if forced to pick, I would say I liked the 5150 better for the rhythm playing and the Bogner a little better for the lead parts.
