Here is a very cool and unusual japanese Valley Arts from back in the 1980s. It caught my eye a while back, but as it turns out I´m still not much of a tele guy and this one needs to find a new home.

It is one of their 7/8 models and it basically comes across as a telecaster with some key Gibson features added in the 24.75" scale, ebony fretboard and mahogany archtop. It is light, has a slimmer neck and a flatter radius than your average vintage tele and is overall very comfortable to play.

It also has some extra attention to detail; the fishbone binding and the fretboard end are nice touches that show that they really wanted to capture the vibe of the similar Custom Pro tele models that Larry Carlton and others used.

The condition is good for being 30 years old, the only thing worth mentioning is the tiny crack in the top running from the neck pocket to the neck pickup route. It has no practical/structural/functional implications, but can be seen if looked for. Other than that it is only very small scratches that might be buffed out and light normal play wear. At some point the strap pin was put on the top of the heel, so there is a empty screw hole there. Also, as seen in the pics the tone control is missing a knob.

A tweed hardcase is included but is not original.

700€ + actual shipping
