FX Loop and Mini Mix Question

I have never liked Bogner FX loop, I had a Mini Mix at one point and dug the way it made the serial loop parallel in a different amp from a Bogner. Question is if the loop sucks tone when engaged, will the Mini Mix really help in that situation anyway?

I know glip22 tried one and sold it so I'm assuming it didn't help. Maybe he'll chime in though.

I really have not noticed that much tone loss using the regular loop.

Still, I do use the Minimix II when I'm not feeling lazy. My thought process is:

LOOP WITHOUT MINIMIX: 20' cable out, 20 cable back.
LOOP WITH MINIMIX: 2' cable to MM, 2' cable back.

Buffer or not, there's GOTTA be an advantage to using less cable for your dry signal with the MMII.
