How much tolex is needed for Marshall Heads and Cabs?

Hi,

I plan on buying some tolex for Marshall Vintage Modern Heads and Cabs. It is sold by the yard and measures 54' wide. I would have a professional do the work.

Can you please tell me how much I need for one of each these (the measurements were in millimeters from the Marshall literature, I converted to inches:)

1) A Marshall head (Vintage Modern 2266 and 2466) - 29.5" x 12.2" x 9"
2) A Marshall Straight cab (Vintage Modern 425B) - 30.3" x 29.7" x 14.3"
3) A Marshall Slant Cab (Vintage Modern 425A) - 30.3" x 29.7" x 14.3"

Thanks!

I used 13.5x 80in strips for my recent jmp headshell build. I’d say you would probably need 10-15 yards for a head and two cabs. Better to buy more than you need since mistakes happen.

Been tempted to redo the tolex on my Marshall 1960A slant cab. I got a great deal on it, and it's structurally sound, just looks super rough because there's large chunks of tolex that have been scraped/peeled off from years of gigging by its previous owner.
